BROOKVILLE, N.Y., May 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at Long Island University proudly announces its 2025/26 season of events, continuing its tradition of presenting world-class performances in music, dance, theater, and more. The new season features a powerful mix of debut appearances, returning favorites, and genre-defying artists, alongside major new initiatives that elevate Tilles Center as a hub for live performance and creative development on Long Island.
The 2025/26 season includes Broadway blockbusters, orchestral masterworks, groundbreaking jazz and chamber ensembles, celebrated speakers, and unforgettable concerts in rock, pop, and beyond. Special programming this season includes the return of the Tilles Jazz Fest and a brand-new Foreigner musical in development, to be helmed by Broadway star Adam Pascal as part of Tilles Center's first-ever Artist-in-Residence program.
"This season represents the fullest expression yet of our mission to bring the world's greatest artists—and the creative process itself—to our stage and campus," said Tom Dunn, Executive & Artistic Director of Tilles Center and Dean of the College of Arts and Design at LIU. "From major concert events and bold new theatrical collaborations to accessible family programming and thought-provoking conversations, we are thrilled to present a season that speaks to our entire community."

New Works Initiative
The 2025/26 season marks the launch of a New Works Initiative in collaboration with Long Island University's Post Theatre Company. This innovative program nurtures the development of original theatrical works, beginning with the creation of Feels Like the First Time – The Foreigner Musical, a world-premiere production built around the hit songs of the iconic rock band to be performed April 17 through 26. The project brings together Broadway creatives, university students, and established artists in a year-long developmental process culminating in a staged production debuting in 2026. The production and program will be supported by a special benefit concert by Foreigner in an acoustic performance at Tilles Center entitled Foreigner: The Hits Unplugged on September 5.
"Tilles Center and LIU are giving us a rare opportunity to develop this musical with real time, talent, and resources," said Phil Carson, Foreigner manager and music industry legend. "It's the ideal environment to shape something worthy of Foreigner's legacy."
Artist-in-Residence: Adam Pascal
Long Island's own Broadway star Adam Pascal (RENT, Aida, Something Rotten!) joins Tilles Center and LIU as the inaugural Artist-in-Residence. In addition to directing the new Foreigner musical, Pascal will perform a solo concert on November 23, lead master classes for students, and appear in special engagements including special guest appearances at RENT in Concert in February and Foreigner's acoustic concert in September. His residency represents a major milestone in expanding the reach of professional-caliber creative opportunities on campus.
"As a Long Island native, it's a thrill to direct this new Foreigner musical as Long Island University's first Artist-in-Residence," said Pascal. "I'm excited to be part of the incredible team bringing this show to life, and to work hands-on with the next generation of performers right here at home."
