Veterans minister nominee vows to beef up support for veterans, patriots

Veterans Minister nominee Kwon Oh-eul said Tuesday he will make efforts to strengthen state support for low-income veterans and patriots in an effort to address the "blind spot" in the compensation system. Kwon made the remarks during a parliamentary confirmation hearing as President Lee Jae Myung has vowed to provide proper compensation and honor for those who sacrificed themselves to protect the nation.
