Zendesk's Global Impact Report Highlights AI Support for Nonprofits, Environmental Sustainability, and Workplace Belonging

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Zendesk released its 2024 Global Impact Report showcasing its responsible business initiatives and future goals to drive positive social impact and advance technology for good. The report emphasizes Zendesk's commitment to helping nonprofits leverage AI to enhance customer experiences, its progress in environmental sustainability, and efforts to foster workplace belonging through partnerships and volunteering.

Expanding AI for Service Access for Nonprofits
Zendesk has donated $13.5 million in software through its Tech for Good program to over 140 nonprofits worldwide, enabling them to better serve their communities and amplify their impact. Zendesk AI has helped these partners enhance customer support by automating and prioritizing requests. One notable social impact partner, the International Rescue Committee's Center for Economic Opportunity, which provides affordable loans to those affected by conflict and disaster, has delivered faster, more efficient service to its customers.

In total, Tech for Good resolved over 1.1 million support queries in 2024 and empowered graduates of Agents of Change, a workforce development initiative, to significantly increase their earnings in customer service careers.

Advancing Environmental Sustainability Commitments
In 2024, Zendesk made great strides in its environmental commitments aligned with science-based targets and continues reducing its carbon footprint by making more sustainable choices every day. The company sourced renewable energy across its offices and announced the integration of sustainability clauses into supplier contracts due to the need for strong partnerships between customers and suppliers to enhance business' operational efficiency and resilience.

Driving Impact Through Community Service & Donations
Over the past year, the Zendesk Foundation and Zendesk employees donated more than $2 million to nonprofits worldwide. More than 730 employees volunteered over 6,300 hours to support over 90 global organizations. In October 2024, Zendesk hosted 31 in-person and virtual events during Social Impact Week across 12 of its offices, where its employees volunteered over 1,000 hours to give back to a range of causes and nonprofits.
