Bloomberg Law League Tables Unveil Top 20 M&A Law Firms in the Second Quarter

ARLINGTON, Va., July 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Bloomberg Law published league tables for the first half of 2025, revealing Latham & Watkins is Big Law's top M&A adviser as global deal volume grew from the same period in 2024.

The firm managed deals worth $269 billion in total to ascend to the top spot from a fifth place ranking in the first quarter, according to Bloomberg Law's league tables. The top of the league table is followed by Kirkland & Ellis ($251 billion), Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz ($161 billion), Davis Polk & Wardwell ($149 billion), and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison ($142 billion).

Bloomberg Law's rankings through the first half of the year highlight the global deal volume for completed or pending transactions, despite market uncertainty surrounding tariffs and trade negotiations. Volume reached approximately $1.4 trillion, up 18.5% from the same period in 2024. Several firms are also seeing a boost from artificial intelligence-related deals.
