Lyric Coffee House Marks 19 Years in New York's 1000 Islands

Lyric Coffee House in Clayton, New York, is celebrating 19 years of brewing award-winning coffee and building community in the heart of the 1000 Islands. Under longtime owner Kathy Danielson, the shop became a local favorite, known for its cozy red chairs, welcoming fireplace and seasonal specialty drinks. In 2023, the Lyric earned "Best Coffee in Clayton" honors from the 1000 Islands Clayton Chamber of Commerce based on voting by area residents.

Danielson launched the business in 2006 after working with Crimson Cup's 7 Steps to Success team. "They provided great training and setup from the start," she said, crediting the program's hands-on guidance and ongoing consulting as keys to her shop's growth.

"We've been part of countless life celebrations here. It's a space where people connect or find peace — and everything in between."
