David Barden Joins New Street Research as Partner and Head of North America Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure
LONDON and NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- New Street Research, the leading independent research boutique focused on global Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors, today announced that David Barden will join the firm as a Partner and lead its North America Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure research team.
Barden brings more than 30 years of global sell-side research expertise to New Street. He most recently served as Head of U.S. and Canada Communications Research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is consistently ranked among the industry's top analysts, including a double Institutional Investor All-America ranking in 2024.
Barden succeeds Jonathan Chaplin, who will join Comcast as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Investments for the Connectivity & Platforms division. Chaplin joined New Street in 2012 and guided its evolution from a telecom-focused boutique into one of the world's leading independent research firms covering the entire TMT landscape.
