"Today's kindergartners are starting school at the outset of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and will graduate high school on the 250th anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution. We have a window of opportunity now to re-center civics in their educational experience, as the founders intended, so they develop the knowledge and skills needed to protect democracy and navigate the economy in the AI age. This Constitution Day, we are recommitting to high quality civic education for all young people," iCivics CEOLouise Dubé said.

"Civic education is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy," said John Bridgeland, CEO of More Perfect. "On Constitution Day, this gathering will unleash more support for a moonshot that recommits America to its civic learning mission."

"Across the higher education sector, we have the opportunity to work with the next generation of citizen leaders to develop the tools necessary to sustain and grow our democracy," said Jonathan R. Alger, President of American University. "Today's convening brings together leaders, institutions, and organizations that are ready to uplift this work and ensure that civic education and engagement are at the forefront of our priorities as educators."

"Constitution Day is an invitation for all Americans—students and lifelong learners alike—to reflect more deeply on our founding principles," said National Constitution Center President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen. "As we approach the nation's 250th anniversary, this shared reflection and deepening understanding of our founding ideals can inspire the habits of curiosity and civil dialogue essential to sustaining our democracy."

National partners, including Carnegie Corporation of New York, Stand Together, and the Bezos Family Foundation, have played a pivotal role in catalyzing resources and attention toward this growing civic renewal movement.
