PITTSBURGH, Nov. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to provide police with a safe and effective means of keeping a vehicle stopped along the roadside when a motorist is suspected of criminal activity," said an inventor, from San Diego, Calif., "so I invented THE STOPPER. My design would keep the car from speeding off, thereby avoiding high-speed chase situations."

The invention provides an effective way to keep a stopped motorist from fleeing from police. In doing so, it would prevent a suspected criminal from driving away when pulled over for a speeding violation, suspected drunk driving, or some other offense. As a result, it helps avoid high-speed pursuits, and it increases safety. The invention features a portable and reusable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for police and law enforcement.

The original design was submitted to the San Diego sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
