First-of-its-kind joint venture funds longevity gains and maternal healing through football, creating a new category of impact capital within a $380B global initiative

NEW YORK, June 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As 6 billion football fans began counting down to kickoff of FIFA Club World Cup, FC Mother and Omya introduced a groundbreaking joint venture to ensure the tournament's legacy extends far beyond the final whistle - investing in health and human longevity through their visionary "World Cup of Healing" project.

FC Mother World Cup of Healing

In a bold new partnership unveiled at the World Football Summit, FC Mother and Omya announced the formation of a joint venture that will, for the first time in history, financially fund gains in healthy longevity—"Life Years"—through the World Cup of Healing, the world's first Healing-Sports competition.

This initiative is part of FC Mother's $380 billion global healing impact strategy, uniting science, football, maternal care, and capital to address the $27 trillion maternal health crisis. The collaboration introduces a groundbreaking new model for impact investing, where capital is funding measurable longevity gains — not with doctors or clinics, but through emotional healing, storytelling, and social support systems embedded in football communities.

What is a Life Year?

Over the last few years, the McKinsey Health Institute has introduced a series of reports on healthy longevity measured in "Life Years", detailing how improvements in mental, physical, social, and spiritual health could add up to 45 billion higher-quality Life Years to humanity, generating $38 Trillion of value in the U.S. alone.

A Life Year (or Quality-Adjusted Life Year) is a globally recognized public health metric adopted by 204 nations. It represents one additional year of healthy, high-quality life. The World Cup of Healing's innovation is to, for the first time, scale and fund the generation of Life Years through emotional healing and community-based care by leveraging the universal reach of football.

Key Highlights of the Joint Venture

  • The JV will fund Life Years generated across Brazil, the United States, and Mexico—the founding nations of the World Cup of Healing.

  • With each Life Year's impact valued at $140,000, the model creates a measurable way to calculate social return on investment and track real-world healing.

  • The JV aims to generate 31,000 Life Years by the 2026 FIFA World Cup, using football to scale a results-based funding mechanism for maternal well-being.

  • The World Cup of Healing's ecosystem will gather in New York City on July 10, 2025, during the FIFA Club World Cup Final, to unveil its Legacy roadmap for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.

Quotes from the Founders

Morad Fareed, Founder of FC Mother:

"This joint venture marks a breakthrough in health, football, and capital, not just in maternal health, but in how we measure and fund healing. With Omya, we're proving that enormous impact capital pools for maternal health can be unlocked via the power of football."

Omani Carson, Founder of Omya:

"Omya was created to fuel personal transformation, activate a global network of visionaries, and accelerate purpose-driven ventures that help humanity live in harmony with itself and the natural world. This joint venture is a clear example of that mission in action - where healing, capital, and collaboration converge to create historic impact in the lives of mothers."

Early Success Across Brazil, the US and Mexico

Over the past 3 months, FC Mother has enrolled more than 210 expectant mothers in its program, which is now live with participants from CR Flamengo in Brazil, from San Diego FC in the US, and from Club Tigres in Mexico.

Early results from the program, which focuses on socio-emotional support, show that it is on track to generate up to 10 Life Years per mother and child served — a historic threshold in public health. For reference, McKinsey estimates that 6 Life Years can be added to each person in the world through preventive care and holistic health promotion.

"The earlier we invest in mothers, the longer and healthier families live," said Dr. Heloísa Lessa, FC Mother Coach and midwife for Team Brazil. "Football is our front door — and these results are just the beginning."

Omya's Mission in Action

Omya is a global network of visionaries and conscious leaders committed to healing humanity and creating impact at scale. Its mission, as envisioned by its founder Omani Carson, is to realign capital around world changing ideas and healing, unlocking $1 Trillion of impact capital for humanity's well being over the next 20 years. This joint venture unifies two deeply aligned founders and their ecosystems to co-create an entirely new funding mechanism for healing humanity.

What's Next: Scaling Through the Power of Football

Unlike traditional football matches, The World Cup of Healing scores are measured in Life Years instead of goals—turning football into a platform for measurable healing and longevity gains. With three FIFA World Cups taking place in the U.S. (2025), U.S. and Mexico (2026), and Brazil (2027), the stage is set for the World Cup of Healing to scale globally from 3 countries to all 48 World Cup nations.

Mother Stories Power the Movement

At the center of the movement is storytelling. The "Mothers of Football" campaign, launched with Pelé and his mother Dona Celeste, shares real-life stories across FC Mother's WhatsApp platform, Amazon Prime's upcoming series The Futurist, and international outlets like WIRED, CNBC, and Forbes.
