RSC2, Inc. Awarded $83M Task Order to Support Global Aerostat Surveillance Mission

Award expands RSC2's engineering and technical support under the Army RS3 IDIQ.

BALTIMORE, May 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- RSC2, Inc., a leading provider of mission and technology enabling services, has been awarded an $83 million task order under the Army Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) IDIQ to provide engineering and technical assistance support for Product Director (PD) Aerostats. This contract further strengthens RSC2's position as a trusted partner in delivering global mission support to the U.S. Army.

In collaboration with, Tenax Technologies, Peerless Technologies, Booz Allen Hamilton, Xander Government Solutions, Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation, Aspen Consulting Group and Elevated Technologies, RSC2 will provide engineering, logistics, security, financial management, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support to enhance the operational effectiveness of PD Aerostats' mission.

PD Aerostats oversees the Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered (PSS-T) family of systems, Persistent Surveillance Dissemination System of Systems (PSDS2) and most recently was assigned the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for Tethered Unmanned Aerial Systems (TeUAS). PD Aerostats applies C5ISR technologies, and other aerostat-based platforms designed to deliver critical intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), Full Motion Video (FMV)-management, counter unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) and early-warning capabilities. This effort supports both CONUS, OCONUS and Custom Border Protection (CBP) operations as well as FMS activities, reinforcing RSC2's ability to execute global missions as a small business - a key differentiator in this competitive field.
