TAIPEI,Taiwan, Sept. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Shield AI, the deep-tech company building state-of-the-art autonomy software and aircraft, announced the opening of its new office in the Taipei 101 tower during the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) 2025.

Brandon Tseng, co-founder and president of Shield AI, greets Taiwanese President Lai at TADTE.

The announcement and Shield AI's presence at TADTE included productive engagements with Taiwan's senior government, defense and industry leaders, highlighting the critical role of partnership in advancing autonomy and national defense.

"One of the lessons we learned from our work in Ukraine is that if you want to be a real partner, you need to be there," said Brandon Tseng, Shield AI's President, Co-Founder, and a former Navy SEAL. "By establishing a permanent presence in Taipei, we can be a better partner to Taiwan — working side by side with industry and government to deliver the mission autonomy and aircraft that strengthen deterrence."

On Sept. 20, Shield AI hosted a ribbon-cutting event in the new office, joined by representatives from government, industry, and academia. The company also participated in TADTE programming earlier in the week, with Tseng presenting "The Modern Battlefield: Lessons from Ukraine and Why Autonomy Matters" and Chief Technology Officer Nathan Michael presenting "Sovereign Autonomy: The Critical Enabler of Drone Armies."

The Taipei 101 office opening builds on the momentum of Shield AI's recent Teaming Agreement with Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) to pursue promotion, deployment, sustainment, training, and autonomy integration of its products in Taiwan. A senior AIDC representative joined Shield AI leadership at Saturday's ribbon-cutting ceremony, a moment that highlighted the strength of the partnership.
