About Save the Elephants
Save the Elephants works to secure a future for elephants. Specializing in research, it provides insights into elephant behavior, intelligence, and long-distance movements, applying them to challenges of survival and coexistence with humans. High-tech tracking guides landscape planning, while low-tech solutions like beehive fences give communities protection and income. Education and outreach share these insights with local communities, the true custodians of this heritage. Save the Elephants (www.savetheelephants.org) runs the Elephant Crisis Fund (www.elephantcrisisfund.org) with the Wildlife Conservation Network, providing flexible support to NGOs combating the ivory trade, promoting coexistence, and protecting elephant habitats.
