"RT600 marks an exciting step in the Park's evolution to a destination neighborhood," said Shane Connell, Executive Vice President at The Connell Company. "We continue to see incredible demand for locations that offer walkability to shopping, dining and entertainment and RT600 will give residents access to a truly unique experience at The Park."

This milestone comes on the heels of the topping out of The Park's first residential tower, RT500, which will contain 179 units across eleven floors. In addition to a suite of lifestyle amenities, the building will also feature Cafe Exchange, a two-story social café offering coffee, fresh pastries and desserts, social spaces, a wine bar and a book exchange, with a focus on creating an authentic community.

"Berkeley Heights has always stood out for its innovation, abundance of outdoor space and strong sense of community," said Angie Devanney, Mayor of Berkeley Heights. "I'm thrilled to be a part of this exciting milestone at The Park, and for the Township's continued relationship with The Connell Company."

The District at The Park project is overseen by GS Ferguson, serving as the Owner's Representative, with SOCO Construction managing the RT600 building and the North side of District Drive, including RT500, and the surrounding retail spaces.

"Today's groundbreaking represents the culmination of extensive planning and teamwork," said Greg Ferguson, President of GS Ferguson Group. "Our partnership with The Connell Company, SOCO Construction, and the design teams has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, and we're proud to see the next phase of The Park take shape."

The Park is currently in the midst of a $500M redevelopment that includes 300,000 square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment offerings anchored by a walkable main street along with extensive capital improvements across the campus' existing offices and outdoor spaces.

"With RT600, we are setting out to deliver a luxury experience for our residents, and we're excited to take one step closer into making that vision a reality," said John Dionis, Managing Director of Real Estate and Development at The Connell Company. "With the collaboration and hard work of our contractors, engineers, architects, consultants, and design teams we've been able to create something that's truly special and unlike anything else in the region."

Dubbed by many as New Jersey's first "work resort," The Park is already home to 1.5 million square feet of Class A offices that host companies such as Samsung, L'Oreal, and Aon, as well as a 176-room Embassy Suites hotel, FIELDHOUSE, a luxury fitness and wellness facility, Grain & Cane Restaurant, Starbucks, Lifetime Fitness, outdoor walking and jogging trails, and its signature co-working social club called Round Table Studios.
