LAS VEGAS, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wealth Consulting Group (WCG), a fast-growing hybrid RIA and wealth management platform, today announced the creation of its non-fiduciary Advisory Board. Comprised of wealth management industry executives, the Advisory Board will help guide the firm as it continues to drive growth and success for its financial advisors, scale its operations and technology, enhance enterprise value for its partner firms and deliver a comprehensive wealth management experience to clients.

The announcement closely follows the recent buildout of WCG's senior leadership team, including the appointment of industry leader and former LPL Financial Divisional President Andy Kalbaugh to the role of President of WCG.

The inaugural members of the Advisory Board – which will continue to expand on a highly selective basis – are Stuart DePina, former President of Envestnet; Jason Ehrlich, former Managing Director and Head of Investments at Emigrant Partners; and Paul Kim, CFA, CEO and co-founder of Simplify Asset Management. Kalbaugh, WCG's newly appointed President, will also serve on the Advisory Board.

"I'm honored to have such a distinguished group of industry veterans agree to join our Advisory Board," said Jimmy Lee, Founder and CEO of The Wealth Consulting Group. "Each is a respected executive, thought leader and influencer in different areas of our industry. We will draw on their insights, hard-won expertise, and unique perspectives to guide our efforts in creating a platform that prioritizes advisor independence, supports seamless business transitions and puts client relationships at the center of everything."

Advisory Board Members Bring Exceptional and Diverse Experience to Advisory Board

In addition to pursuing traditional organic and M&A growth opportunities, WCG's strategic initiatives include allowing advisors to secure additional avenues for expansion by better navigating the succession and monetization process. The firm's executive team will leverage the vast knowledge of the Board to help ensure the success of these key growth drivers.

  • Stuart DePina
An entrepreneurial CEO, board member and advisor, DePina has significant experience in WealthTech leadership roles, most recently as President of Envestnet. Earlier, he served as the Chief Executive of Envestnet | Tamarac, led a series of early-stage enterprises through various stages of growth and was a Partner at KPMG.

  • Jason Ehrlich
With 20 years of experience in the wealth management and private equity industries, Ehrlich was recently Managing Director and Head of Investments for Emigrant Partners. Previously, he served as a senior principal at TowerBrook Capital Partners and held investment professional roles at Onex Partners, Lightyear Capital and Aquiline Capital.

  • Paul Kim
Kim is the CEO and co-founder of Simplify Asset Management and President of Simplify ETFs. He has spent the bulk of his 25-year-long career as a key innovator and architect in the ETF industry at Principal Global Investors and PIMCO. Kim also has experience in digital marketing, investment banking and private equity.

  • Andy Kalbaugh
Kalbaugh, the recently appointed President of WCG, is a widely recognized industry leader who has architected the growth and development of some of the largest and most successful wealth management enterprises in the industry. He was Divisional President at LPL Financial, CEO of American General Securities and CEO of Mutual Service Corp.

Board Members Look Forward to Supporting WCG Growth

"Over the last 15+ years, I've had the privilege of consulting with over 1,000 RIA firms and can say definitively that WCG has been able to achieve a level of success, without external resources, that few firms have been able to accomplish," said DePina. "I couldn't be more excited and honored to participate on the WCG Advisory Board and look forward to working with my fellow Board members and the executive team as we focus on further enabling WCG's advisors to achieve greater success while enhancing their value proposition in the markets they serve."

Ehrlich noted that, "At a time when mid-size firms are struggling to achieve the scale to succeed in a consolidating marketplace, WCG is well-positioned to provide the tools, technology, and support that advisors need to deliver the best outcomes for their clients. Each member of WCG's Advisory Board has long admired WCG for its entrepreneurial culture, strong leadership and commitment to independent advice. The Board looks forward to supporting the leadership team on strategic initiatives, including organic growth for existing advisors, M&A, capital raising and long-term enterprise growth planning."

Kim added, "It's an honor to be on the Board of WCG. The firm consistently ranks among the best financial advisors due to a simple formula – the sophistication and customization of an institutional CFO, but at the cost and accessibility of a successful, client-centric wealth manager. I look forward to working with Jimmy Lee and the Board to help advance WCG's mission."
