Mr. Nakamaru is a veteran broadcast journalist with over 26 years of experience as a reporter for TV Asahi, the flagship station of the Japanese All-Nippon News Network (ANN), a leading Japanese television station serving the Tokyo and broader Kanto region in Japan. TV Asahi is one of the "Big Six" broadcasters based in Tokyo, alongside Nippon Television, TBS, TV Tokyo, NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) and Fuji Television. Mr. Nakamaru's career has included roles in both Tokyo and New York, with the last 5 years being spent in New York with the current title of Director General / American Bureaus New York Bureau Chief. Mr. Nakamaru's reporting has focused on politics and economics from an international perspective, including through serving as producer for special programs on the U.S. presidential election while working as the International News Desk Chief.
