TruHearing Survey Reveals Strong Provider Network is Key to Closing Hearing Health Gaps
DRAPER, Utah, Oct. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As the nation observes NationalAudiology Awareness Month, TruHearing, the leader in hearing healthcare solutions, is highlighting the strength of its extensive provider network and the vital role access plays in safeguarding hearing health for employees across the country.
Recent findings from TruHearing's 5th annual Hearing Loss in the Workplace Survey underscore the importance of hearing care in the workplace, revealing that nearly half (40%) of U.S. employees experience at least some level of hearing loss.
While hearing healthcare benefits are step one, the true measure of value lies in the strength of the provider network. Almost every employee surveyed (98%) found value in access to a trusted provider network, with nearly half (41%) rating it highly valuable when considering treatment for potential hearing loss.
While 48% of employees believe treating hearing loss is an easy task, only 7% of those with hearing loss have actually sought treatment—demonstrating a persistent gap between awareness and action. Of those offered hearing healthcare benefits through TruHearing, however, a substantial 83% of respondents have sought treatment for hearing loss. Further demonstrating the correlation between access and action is data from MarkeTrak that indicates a trustworthy hearing care professional is the second most influential reason hearing aid users pursued treatment1.
"Trust and access are at the core of closing the treatment gap," said Erin Downard, Director of Provider Engagement at TruHearing. "With the nation's largest provider network, TruHearing gives employees confidence that they'll find skilled, vetted professionals who uphold the highest standards of care. That's not just a competitive advantage—it's a promise to deliver better hearing health outcomes."
TruHearing's vast network–which ensures that 90% of the U.S. lives within 10 miles of a TruHearing provider–is built on partnerships with audiologists and hearing care professionals who meet rigorous standards, ensuring members receive high-quality, personalized care. By holding providers to these standards, TruHearing sets itself apart, building trust among employers, employees and healthcare providers.
"As hearing health continues to impact workforce wellbeing and productivity, TruHearing remains committed to raising awareness, breaking down barriers to treatment, and providing trusted access through our unparalleled provider network," added Downard. "Access to care is what's going to set action into motion, but the breadth of providers TruHearing connects employees to is what turns action into impact."
