Armor Health's Data Driven Approach to Patient Care Helps Secure another Agreement in Pennsylvania to provide Inmate Healthcare Services for Patients in Lackawanna County

SCRANTON, Pa., Sept. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Armor Health (ArmorHealthcare.com), a leading national provider of integrated correctional healthcare, was awarded a new contract to deliver its quality Integrated Medical, Mental Health Services and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program to the Lackawanna County Prison. The company was awarded the new contract after a competitive RFP process. Armor began its service in January, 2025.

Armor's MAT program utilizes a holistic, medically supported recovery model that combines FDA-approved medications for Opiod Use Disorder (OUD) with behavioral therapy and individualized counseling. The program supports successful reentry and reduces recidivism by coordinating warm handoffs back to community care teams at the time of release, addressing both the clinical and social factors that contribute to relapse and reoffending.
