Cure Alzheimer's Fund Receives $50 Million Gift to Support Research
Largest donation in the non-profit organization's 20-year history
WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass., Sept. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Cure Alzheimer's Fund (CureAlz) announced it has received a $50 million gift from The Cardinal Family Fund, the largest contribution in its 20-year history of funding Alzheimer's disease research. Over the next five years, this generous and transformational gift will drive progress in three areas:
- Cure Alzheimer's Fund Receives $50 Million GiftTHE CARDINAL FAMILY SCHOLARS FUND FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE RESEARCH: The Cardinal Family Scholars Fund for Alzheimer's Disease Research will provide extraordinary support to early and mid-career scientists emerging as the next generation of Alzheimer's disease leaders. The program will include funding research, personnel, lab infrastructure and professional development.
- THE CARDINAL FAMILY PRECISION MEDICINE RESEARCH FUND: With the guidance of our external scientific leadership, CureAlz has always sought to fund research that will yield safe and effective prevention and therapeutics for every member of the Alzheimer's community. The Cardinal Family Precision Medicine Research Fund will advance investigations into biological and other factors that drive differences in Alzheimer's disease risk and progression for subgroups within our community so that we can end this disease for everyone.
- THE CARDINAL FAMILY EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND: The Cardinal Family Emergency Relief Fund will sustain progress against Alzheimer's disease by providing rapid support for critical research data and infrastructure, including the scientific workforce, in response to federal funding disruptions and cancellations.
