EJE Academies Announces Appointment of New Executive Director, Griselda A. Delgado

Experienced Educational Leader to Guide EJEA Through Next Phase of Growth and Innovation

EL CAJON, Calif., Jan. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Excellence and Justice in Education Academies (EJEA) proudly announces the appointment of Griselda A. Delgado as the organization's new Executive Director. Delgado brings more than two decades of leadership experience in public education, with a strong background in bilingual programs, instructional equity, and community-driven school innovation.

A passionate advocate for dual-language education and family engagement, Delgado joins EJEA during an exciting period of growth and transformation. EJEA, serving students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, continues its mission to foster academic excellence, cultural pride, and social responsibility in a bilingual environment. In her new role, Delgado will lead EJEA through its upcoming reauthorization process and guide the unification of its elementary and middle school charters into a single TK–8 entity.

Before joining EJEA, Delgado served as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the South Monterey County Joint Union High School District, where she oversaw curriculum development, accountability systems, and college- and career-readiness initiatives. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic planning expertise, and unwavering commitment to educational equity and access.

Delgado is a former Southwestern College Trustee and a former committee member of the San Diego Youth Symphony. Throughout her career, Delgado has been deeply active in the community, dedicating her time to educational, cultural, and civic initiatives that strengthen and support local families.
