SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- DeepSight Technology, a leader in advanced interventional ultrasound solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Bradford Wood, MD, formerly of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Brad Wood, MD

Dr. Wood brings decades of experience as a pioneer in interventional radiology, interventional oncology and image-guided minimally-invasive therapies. He directed cutting-edge research at the NIH Center for Interventional Oncology, where his leadership of public, private, academic and industry partnerships has had a transformative impact on minimally invasive procedures and precision medicine worldwide. He has > 60 patents, co-authored > 700 papers, has an H-index of 115, and has invented and helped commercialize multiple interventional devices from idea to first-in-human to market dominance.

In his new role at DeepSight, Dr. Wood leads collaborations with hospitals, research institutions, and industry partners to accelerate adoption of the company's NeedleVue™ systems and future imaging platforms. His expertise will be instrumental in shaping clinical evidence, advancing training programs, and expanding access to technologies that improve accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes in interventional procedures.

"It is rare to encounter a transformative technology capable of truly reshaping procedural medicine" said Dr. Bradford Wood. "DeepSight's platform is a paradigm shifting technology and a transformational step forward in how we deliver, target, refine and monitor image-guided procedures. It's like turning on your headlights, while driving fast on a curved mountain road at night. Imagine tracking, tissue characterization, temperature, margin definition and imaging…all from the tip of a needle (or a 50-micron flexible strand that can be integrated on internal devices)…This is just so cool! "

Nader Sadrzadeh, CEO of DeepSight Technology, added: "We're thrilled and honored to have Brad as part of the DeepSight journey. His conviction in our vision and our unique technology underscores the transformative impact this technology can have on patient care.  We're most grateful for his leadership and excited for what's ahead!"
