Hundreds of International Cyclists Ride for Children's Rehabilitation at Israel's Largest Charity Cycling Event
Wheels of Love Ride – November 3–6, 2025
JERUSALEM, Oct. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Hundreds of cyclists from Israel and around the world will line up this November at the starting point of Wheels of Love, ALYN Hospital's annual charity ride — a unique and moving journey dedicated to raising vital support for children undergoing rehabilitation from complex injuries and conditions, including many dependent on ventilators.
"Not just riding for, but riding with" – Over four challenging days in Northern Israel, participants will cover hundreds of kilometers, including a remarkable first day when riders will cycle side by side with young ALYN graduates who turned cycling itself into a powerful tool for their own recovery.
The journey will culminate in Jerusalem, where the riders will be greeted at the finish line by ALYN's current patients and youth, who will personally award them medals in recognition of their efforts and fundraising achievements.
Israel's Largest International Charity Cycling Event
Now marking its 26th edition, Wheels of Love is Israel's largest international sports charity event. The four-day ride features multiple routes for road, off-road, and endurance riders of all levels, offering a truly global experience of camaraderie, challenge, and impact.
A Ride of Solidarity
Before the official ride begins, international participants will join a special solidarity tour in Northern Israel. Highlights include:
- A guided visit to the community of Manara with the IDF, in an area still designated a closed military zone.
- A tour and conversation at Yiron Winery with Major General (Res.) Danny Arditi — former head of Israel's National Security Council — learning about the challenges of evacuated communities and the resilience of those who stayed behind.
- A visit to the Alterman family bike shop, whose son, once treated at ALYN, inspired their deep connection to the hospital.
From the Emotional Kickoff to the Children's Cheers
The ride officially kicks off on Monday, November 3, with nearly 300 cyclists, joined by the inspiring "Swift and the Bold" team — 17 children and teens rehabilitated at ALYN following accidents, traumatic injuries, or congenital conditions. These young riders have embraced cycling as a vital part of their recovery and everyday lives.
For over 25 years, Wheels of Love has brought together riders from around the globe, uniting communities in a mission of hope, resilience, and healing for children at ALYN.
