PITTSBURGH, Sept. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "We wanted to create a way to maintain bridge pavement temperature above freezing at all times," said one of two inventors, from Fort Worth, Texas, "so we invented the HIGHWAY HEATING CORE. The patent-pending invention provides a heating system for melting ice and snow off bridges and overpasses in the winter. In doing so, it eliminates the need to rely solely upon road salt, plowing, and snow removal. As a result, it prevents large accumulations of slippery snow and black ice. It also increases safety and convenience. The invention features an automatic design that is easy to employ, and it can be installed by governmental agencies for use within cities, states, and towns. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Dallas sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
