Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Hosts 2025 Clinical Summit

FORT MYERS, Fla., Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) physicians, clinical practice providers and executive leaders will gather this week for the 2025 Clinical Summit. The three-day event, hosted annually by the statewide practice, centers on connecting, exploring, and learning to advance the experience of cancer patients, with an emphasis on improving care and expanding treatment options.

FCS hosts its 2025 Clinical Summit, bringing oncology leaders together to advance patient care, research and collaboration across Florida.

An in-depth session custom designed for FCS and presented by Dr. Neil Love'sResearch to Practice® program, will take a deep dive into the practical application of new data and recent medical research for the treatment of a wide range of cancers, ranging from HR-positive breast and prostate cancers to lung cancer, lymphomas, and other blood diseases.

Keynote speakers for the 2025 FCS Clinical Summit are Liza Marshall, a breast cancer survivor and founder of Hope Connections for Cancer Support, devoted to helping patients and caregivers navigating the cancer journey, and Dr. John Marshall, an internationally recognized expert in gastrointestinal cancers and founder of the Otto J. Ruesch Center for the Cure of GI Cancers.

The couple co-authored Off Our Chests (2021), an award-winning book that explores the emotional, physical, and spiritual impact of cancer from both patient and caregiver perspectives, blending Liza's candid journey with Dr. Marshall's reflections as oncologist-turned-caregiver.

Another highlight of the event will be a unique fireside chat session featuring Chaunté Lowe, four-time Olympian, three-time world championship medalist, and 12-time U.S. national champion. Lowe, a former FCS patient, will share her saga of conquering insurmountable odds, including triumphing over breast cancer.
