Oregon Episcopal School Adds New USDA BioPreferred® Athletic Surfaces from AstroTurf® and Rekortan®
PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Oregon Episcopal School has taken a major step forward in enhancing its athletic facilities with the installation of a new AstroTurf® RootZone® GT-B Blend 52oz field, a USDA biopreffered field and a Rekortan® G13 Gel Series track, with Qualipur ingredients certified by the USDA. This is the first installation of its kind for the GT-B system in the Northwest, and the first in the nation to combine two USDA Certified products on the same playing surface. The GT-B Blend 52oz turf system is the first synthetic turf product to earn the USDA Certified Biobased Product label, integrating renewable, plant-based materials into its design. Encircling the field is the Rekortan® Gel Series track, one of the most innovative running surfaces available today.
