Oxford Performing Arts Center Announces Star-Studded 2025-2026 Season Featuring Cheap Trick, The Commodores, and Broadway's TINA and CHICAGO
OXFORD, Ala., Sept. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Oxford Performing Arts Center (OPAC) announced its blockbuster 2025-2026 season, a lineup poised to deliver world-class entertainment to the heart of Northeast Alabama. The ambitious season features a diverse array of national Broadway tours, rock and roll hall of famers, country music legends, and theatrical spectacles, reinforcing the venue's status as a premier cultural destination for audiences throughout the Southeast, including the nearby metropolitan areas of Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta, GA.
The season's packed schedule of performances begins this month with the high-energy hits of Motortown All-Stars (Sep. 26).
October continues the momentum with a diverse slate of legendary artists. Country and gospel harmonies will fill the theatre with performances by the multi-award-winning family group The Isaacs (Oct. 5) and country music hitmakers Shenandoah (Oct. 9). The month also features an electrifying concert from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick (Oct. 12), a vibrant Celebration of Dia de los Muertos with Mariachi Sol de Mexico (Oct. 16), and timeless performances from entertainment icons Frankie Avalon (Oct. 17) and Wayne Newton (Oct. 23).
As the holidays approach, November brings country stars Jamey Johnson (Nov. 4) and Joe Nichols (Nov. 14), a soulful evening with R&B legends The Commodores (Nov. 13), and the festive production of Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas (Nov. 23). In December, OPAC will host the national Broadway tour of the explosive TINA – The Tina Turner Musical (Dec. 5), the beloved tradition of Christmas with the Pops (Dec. 7), and a night of Southern rock with The Marshall Tucker Band (Dec. 13).

The new year kicks off with the timeless American musical classic The Music Man (Jan. 23-24), followed by a February lineup featuring the high-energy pub-set performance of The Choir of Man (Feb. 3) and the universally acclaimed, six-time Tony Award-winning Chicago – The Musical (Feb. 27-28). Spring highlights include the international percussion sensation STOMP (Mar. 13-14), comedian Larry the Cable Guy (Mar. 27), the World Ballet Company's breathtaking Swan Lake (Apr. 11), and the ultimate sing-along with ABBA-Mania (May 29).
