Trade talks with US ‘quite to tail end,’ Seoul official says
WASHINGTON — South Korea and the United States have come "quite" to the tail end of their trade negotiations, a top policy aide to President Lee Jae Myung said Wednesday, as the countries strive to reconcile differences over how to implement Seoul's $350 billion investment pledge under a trade deal struck in July. Kim Yong-beom, the presidential chief of staff for policy, made the remarks as he and Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan arrived at an airport near Washington to engage in another round of trade talks with U.S. officials to finalize details of the trade deal.
