Hanwha Aerospace Co. is poised to sign an additional contract with Norway to supply 24 K9 self-propelled howitzers, defense industry sources said Thursday. The Korean defense giant is expected to finalize the agreement soon with the Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency, according to the sources. Hanwha Aerospace first signed a deal in 2017 to supply 24 K9 howitzers and six K10 ammunition resupply vehicles to Norway in a package worth 245.2 billion won ($176.9 million). The K9 has since been adopted by a range of countries, including Turkey, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Egypt, India, Australia and Romania. Last month, Hanwha signed a $250 million deal with Vietnam to deliver 20 K9s, marking the howitzer's first export to Southeast Asia.Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Korea Times
