N. Korea says it takes note of Seoul's announcement military not involved in drone incursions

North Korea takes note of South Korea's announcement that its military has not been involved in recent drone incursions, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in a statement released Sunday. "The ROK Ministry of Defence repeatedly stressed that the recent drone infiltration was not a military operation and expressed its will to thoroughly investigate the possibility as a civilian deed. We pay attention to the publication of such stand," Kim said in a statement dated the previous day. The reaction came after Seoul denied Pyongyang's claim, issued the previous day, that it sent drones across the border to North Korea in September and Jan. 4 in violation of the North's sovereignty, raising the possibility that private entities may have been involved in the alleged drone operations.
