Vice FM discusses cooperation efforts with OECD chief at APEC

Second Vice Foreign Minister Kim Jina met Wednesday with the chief of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the margins of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to discuss cooperation efforts, the foreign ministry said. During the meeting with Mathias Cormann, OECD's secretary-general, Kim said that Korea is committed to proactively engaging in discussions to boost cooperation with the global economic forum, in areas including digital and artificial intelligence (AI)-related issues, demographic changes and energy transition. Kim noted the importance of deepening engagement with the Indo-Pacific and Southeast Asian regions and asked the organization to continue its commitments in that regard.
