Atlanta Braves shortstop Kim Ha-seong has extended his hitting streak to eight games while also scoring the team's go-ahead run in the ninth inning for a road victory. Kim batted 1-for-4 and scored the team's final run in the Braves' 6-5 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit on Saturday (local time). After flying out in the top of the second inning and grounding out in his next two at-bats, Kim kept his hitting streak alive in the top ninth. With Ozzie Albies at first and the Braves trailing 5-4, Kim singled to right field to push the tying run to second base. The next two Braves batters struck out but then Nacho Alvarez Jr. singled to drive in Albies to knot the score at 5-5. And then Jurickson Profar's single brought Kim home for a 6-5 Braves lead. They hung on to win by the same score to hand the Tigers their fifth consecutive loss. Kim is batting a robust .311 in 17 games in September since joining the Braves off the waivers, after batting only .214 in 24 games with the Tampa Bay Rays.Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Korea Times
