A new chapter in fashion royalty began in Paris as Sean Taffin de Givenchy — descendant of the founder of the luxury house Givenchy — married a Korean woman, Jung Da-hye, in a lavish ceremony that drew fascination both in France and Korea. According to Vogue magazine on Oct. 18 (local time), the couple exchanged vows in August at the historic Basilique Sainte-Clotilde, a neo-Gothic cathedral in Paris. Their Catholic wedding reflected both their shared faith and the family’s long-standing traditions, with the Givenchy clan’s prominent figures in attendance. Celebrations continued over three days, from Aug. 28 to 30, with an opulent series of events blending French aristocratic charm and Korean sophistication. Taffin, who works as a senior commercial finance analyst at Christie’s, said the couple wanted to have a Mass ceremony as they both grew up Catholic.
