IRVING, Texas, Sept. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Bosch Home Comfort Group recently launched a new collection of residential ductless heat pumps from Hitachi. The airHome single and multi-room mini-split heat pumps are designed to reduce utility bills and enhance indoor air quality (IAQ), all while offering an environmentally friendly solution for heating and cooling — even within colder regions.
"The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that American households can save hundreds to thousands of dollars each year by switching to a high-efficiency heat pumpi," said David Budzinski, global deputy CEO, president, Americas, Bosch Home Comfort Group. "We've made this transition easier by eliminating the need to replace or install ductwork, while adding innovative features that enhance comfort, maximize savings and ensure reliability."
The Hitachi airHome collection includes a series of high-performance ductless heat pumps each tailored to meet homeowners' individual comfort preferences and enhance operation within the various climates found throughout the country. The airHome heat pumps have been engineered with cutting-edge features like Dry Mode that staves off moisture during seasons of high humidity; HeatForce™ to ensure reliability within harsh winters, providing dependable heating in temperatures as low as -22 F; and Adaptive Defrost, a suite of on-board intelligent controls, that continuously monitors for equipment frosting – which can be common especially in cold and humid regions – to ensure optimal performance.
Additionally, the airHome heat pumps are equipped with FrostWash™, an innovative self-cleaning feature that uses an intelligent freezing and thawing process to remove dust, mold and fine debris. An embedded purification system offers further protection against viruses, bacteria and mold. Combined, these features maintain efficient airflow and performance, reduce the need for maintenance and enhance IAQ.
The ductless heat pumps can be operated using the airCloud Go app. Homeowners can adjust their system remotely or by voice command using Amazon Echo or Google Home. Programmable settings enable timed operations, and location-sensing profiles allow the heat pump to detect proximity and automatically adjust the temperature in advance of arrival. The app also provides access to an integrated Energy Cost Estimator, providing a clear picture of how much power is being consumed.
Hitachi airHome heat pumps are a flexible home comfort solution with options available for single or multi-room home heating and cooling. Each heat pump uses environmentally friendly R-32 refrigerant and meets most local and federal heat pump rebates. For more information, visit www.hitachiaircon.com.
