Austrian Post to support local sellers throughout Eurasia

Austrian Post has signed a memorandum of understanding with Temu to strengthen cooperation in the field of regional logistics and international e-commerce solutions. The partnership aims to improve delivery performance, increase service quality and expand support for consumers and sellers in the fast-growing e-commerce sector. Under the agreement, Austrian Post and its subsidiaries such as Express One and Aras Kargo will provide Temu with comprehensive logistics and e-commerce services beyond Austria, including delivery and returns, fulfillment and parcel delivery in Southern and Eastern Europe. This partnership also enables the export of regional products to global markets. This makes deliveries more reliable and affordable for consumers and sellers across the region. For local sellers, this cooperation with Temu is expected to further simplify order processing, shorten delivery times and reduce transport costs. By leveraging the Austrian Post Group’s network and Temu’s expanding Local Seller Program, the two companies aim to create a more efficient supply chain that connects European companies with consumers at home and abroad. Österreichische Post AG is a leading postal and logistics service provider with almost 30,000 employees throughout Eurasia. Temu, the global online marketplace launched in September 2022, has since expanded to over 90 markets worldwide. The two companies started their collaboration in 2023 and recently integrated the postal receiving options with post offices, postal partners and 24/7 post stations on Temu so that they can be selected directly when ordering. In addition, returns are also handled via Swiss Post locations, which makes ordering even more convenient for consumers. Since last year, Temu has started inviting local sellers in Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK to join the platform to enable fulfillment through local warehouses.
