MiningStore Expands Iowa Operations with 10 MW Bitcoin Mining Facility, Delivering 3,500+ ASIC Slots to Meet Surging Institutional Demand
Strategic investor-backed buildout expands MiningStore's Iowa footprint with containerized air-cooled capacity, energy optimization, and institutional-grade uptime
MUSCATINE, Iowa, Sept. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- MiningStore, a leading U.S. Bitcoin mining infrastructure provider, has launched a 10 MW air-cooled Bitcoin mining facility in Iowa, expanding its operational footprint on the MISO power grid. The project adds more than 3,500 ASIC miner slots, with the first 5 MW phase already energized and the remaining 5 MW set for completion by October 2025.
Developed in partnership with a strategic investor, the facility reinforces MiningStore's commitment to delivering scalable, efficient infrastructure as institutional demand for Bitcoin mining continues to accelerate.
"As Bitcoin mining matures into an institutional asset class, operators need infrastructure that delivers both performance and reliability," said JohnPaul Baric, CEO of MiningStore. "This facility positions our clients at the intersection of cost-effective power markets and institutional-grade operations, exactly where the industry is heading."
EFFICIENT, COMMUNITY-FOCUSED INFRASTRUCTURE
The facility utilizes a containerized, air-cooled architecture designed for high efficiency and uptime. Key benefits include: 99% targeted uptime outside of demand response, supported by advanced airflow management. We integrate directly with the MISO electric grid and participate as a demand-response resource.
Our facilities reduce load during peak demand to support local communities and grid reliability. During some hours, we use otherwise wasted energy, converting electricity into productive economic value.
A PROVEN OPERATOR FOR INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH
MiningStore operates seven facilities with over 10,000 miners deployed, and has four more projects under development in 2025. Its service portfolio, Managed Mining Program (MMP), Hosting Services, and Build-a-Mine, offers turnkey hosting and tailored infrastructure solutions, serving both institutional and individual clients.
The Iowa expansion also contributes to local economic growth by creating full-time roles in operations, engineering, and monitoring, reinforcing the state's role in America's digital infrastructure backbone.
POSITIONED FOR MARKET DEMAND
As network difficulty climbs and global hashrate decentralizes, reliable, grid-integrated hosting has become a premium advantage. MiningStore's Iowa facility addresses this need while showcasing how Bitcoin mining can align with energy markets through demand-response and sustainable energy utilization.
