NEW YORK and GREENWICH, Conn., Sept. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Unison Energy, LLC, a fully-integrated Energy-as-a-Service business that provides tailored behind-the-meter power ("microgrid") solutions for commercial and industrial customers across the United States, today announced the acquisition of a microgrid system in 125 Broad Street, the global headquarters for Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

125 Broad Street

"This project at Sullivan & Cromwell's headquarters exemplifies how innovative on-site energy infrastructure can drive meaningful progress toward 24/7 power and decarbonization while supporting the critical needs of a world-class organization."

The Energy System's advanced infrastructure includes a combined heat and power system and high-efficiency absorption and centrifugal chillers. Unison will own and operate the microgrid on behalf of 125 Broad Street, supplying the approximately 1.4 million square-foot Class A property with 100% of its cooling needs and the majority of its heating and electrical demand through a long-term Energy Services Agreement ("ESA").

The 125 Broad Street Project provides its owners and tenants with cleaner, cheaper and more resilient cooling, heating and electricity at no upfront cost. The Energy System's innovative design is fuel-flexible, meaning the system can run on lower-carbon alternative fuels and is compatible with Unison's on-site carbon capture solution. Incorporating alternative fuels and carbon capture in the future would drive further improvements to the emissions profile of 125 Broad Street.

"At Unison, we are committed to delivering forward-thinking energy solutions that empower our partners to achieve their sustainability and operational goals," said Tim Lukes, Co-CEO of Unison Energy. "This project at Sullivan & Cromwell's headquarters exemplifies how innovative on-site energy infrastructure can drive meaningful progress toward 24/7 power and decarbonization while supporting the critical needs of a world-class organization."

"125 Broad Street's partnership with Unison represents a major step forward in future-proofing our building's infrastructure with a resilient power source," said Rob Schlein, a Partner at Sullivan & Cromwell. "The efficiency gains and reliability of the energy system coupled with the fixed-priced electricity, heating, and cooling under Unison's ESA provide much-needed stability in the face of increasingly volatile power markets in the Northeast."

Unison Board Member and Tiger Infrastructure Partners COO and Senior Managing Director, Marc Blair, stated, "Tiger Infrastructure has a long-standing relationship with Sullivan & Cromwell and is proud to support Unison as the company continues to capitalize on significant tailwinds driving demand for advanced microgrids including growth of data centers, renewable energy proliferation and the need for cleaner, more resilient power."

125 Broad Street is located near South Ferry in New York's Financial District. The building is also known as 2 New York Plaza.

Unison Energy is backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners, a growth infrastructure firm based in New York and London.
