Posten Bring ends the third quarter of the year with a solid adjusted operating profit of NOK 386 million, an increase of NOK 42 million compared to the same quarter in 2024. Operating profit reaches NOK 546 million, an increase of NOK 228 million compared to the third quarter of last year. The group’s revenue continues to grow and amounted to NOK 6,082 million, NOK 36 million more than the third quarter of last year.“We are leaving behind a quarter characterized by a high level of activity, where increased turnover combined with good cost control results in increased profitability and an improved bottom line. There is an increase in online shopping across all our markets, at the same time, more and more customers are using our parcel boxes. So far this year, around 20 percent more parcels have been delivered in this self-service solution, compared to the same time last year. We are now entering the most hectic period of the year, we have prepared well and are offering more parcel pickup locations than ever before,” says Petter-Børre Furberg, CEO of Posten Bring. The operating profit (EBIT) in the third quarter was NOK 546 million, an increase of NOK 228 million compared to the third quarter of 2024. The results are influenced by the final decision in the so-called cartel case where Posten Bring was awarded damages following an illegal price collusion between several European truck manufacturers. The judgment awards Posten Bring damages and legal costs totaling NOK 171 million from the truck manufacturers, in addition to late payment interest.Logistics business is growing within parcel services and rail transportIn the third quarter, the logistics business achieved revenue of NOK 4,985 million, an increase of NOK 79 million from the same period last year. Parcel volume from online shopping increased by 9.5 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period last year, while parcel volume from the business market fell by 2.5 percent. Warehousing services have had revenue somewhat behind last year overall, while the development within freight and forwarding has been slightly positive compared to the same period last year. The positive development was largely driven by the business area Fulload, which offers transport services by train, but was partly offset by lower activity within international forwarding in Sweden. Adjusted operating profit in the logistics business was NOK 327 million in the third quarter, an increase of NOK 55 million from the same period last year. This gave an adjusted operating margin of 6.6 percent, compared to 5.6 percent in 2024.Decline in postal operationsThe postal segment’s revenue was NOK 1,202 million in the third quarter, a reduction of NOK 55 million compared to the same period last year. The volumes of addressed mail fell by 8.1 percent in the period, while the volumes of unaddressed mail fell by 18.1 percent. In addition, the Norgespakke service had a volume reduction of 6.3 percent. Adjusted operating profit rose to NOK 110 million, up NOK 17 million from the same quarter last year.In the third quarter, 91 percent of addressed mail was delivered within 3 days. This was well above the licensing requirement of 85 percent.Sickness absence for the third quarter ended at 6.8 percent, which is 0.4 percentage points lower than the same period last year. The injury rate ended at 6.9, which is 0.8 higher than the previous year. The injury rate measured as a 12-month trend was 6.4, which is 1.0 lower than the same period last year.Key figures so far 2025 as of Q3 (2024 in brackets)Operating income (MNOK): 18,467(18,309)Adjusted operating profit (MNOK): 868 (546)Operating profit (EBIT) (MNOK): 1012 (579)Equity ratio: 31.4 (31.2)Return on invested capital (ROIC) last 12 months: 9.4% (6.1%)Return on equity after tax (ROE) last 12 months 10.3% (5.3%)Key figures Q3 2025 (Q3 2024 in brackets)Operating income (MNOK): 6,082 (6,046)Adjusted operating profit (MNOK): 386 (344)Operating profit (EBIT) (MNOK): 546 (319)Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Post&Parcel
