SK Shipping and H-Line Shipping have decided to relocate their headquarters to the southeastern port city of Busan, in line with the government's push to transform the port city into a maritime hub, the oceans ministry said Friday. SK Shipping, the country's seventh-largest shipper in terms of sales, and H-Line Shipping, the country's 10th-largest shipper, plan to finalize their relocation plans in their shareholders' meeting later this month and complete registrations of their headquarters in Busan by January, according to the ministry. The decisions come amid the Lee Jae Myung administration's plan to develop Busan, Korea's largest port city located about 330 kilometers southeast of Seoul, into a global maritime hub. The ministry, currently in the nation's central administrative city of Sejong, is also set to relocate to Busan by the end of this year. Busan is working to also attract financial and oceans-related institutions as well as the country's top container shipper, HMM, to the city.Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Korea Times
