Actor Yeo Jin-goo to begin military service as KATUSA in December

Actor Yeo Jin-goo, set to enlist to fulfill his mandatory military duty, has been selected to serve as a Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA) and will begin his 18-month service on Dec. 15, his agency J Full Entertainment said Monday. The agency said the actor will quietly enter the training center without a public event. “As the enlistment ceremony is a private occasion shared with other soldiers and their families, we will not disclose the specific location or time. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site,” it said in a statement. “We ask for your continued support and encouragement until the day Yeo Jin-goo completes his service in good health and returns as a more mature individual,” it added.
