HORNBACH Holding AG & Co. KGaA: Reduced earnings in Q3 2025/26 – Guidance for adjusted EBIT at previous year’s level still valid

Based on preliminary figures, HORNBACH Holding AG & Co. KGaA (ISIN DE0006083405) expects to report weaker sales growth and a year-on-year reduction in earnings in Q3 2025/26 (September 1, 2025 to November 30, 2025).

Net sales for this period grew by 2.2% to EUR 1,538.7 million (Q3 2024/25: EUR 1,505.1 million) and undercut the company’s expectations, meaning that higher costs could not be fully offset by sales growth. As a result, adjusted EBIT decreased by 21.0% to EUR 27.3 million (Q3 2024/25: EUR 34.6 million).

The original guidance dated May 21, 2025 continues to apply. For the 2025/26 financial year, the Group still expects net sales at or slightly above* the previous year’s figure (EUR 6,200 million) and adjusted EBIT at** the level reported for the 2024/25 financial year (EUR 269.5 million). From a current perspective, adjusted EBIT in the upper half of the projected range is not excluded but is no longer the most likely scenario.

* Sales: “At previous year's level” = -2% to +2% | “Slight” = +/- 2% to +/-6% | “Significant” = changes of = > +/-6%. 
** Adj. EBIT: “At previous year's level” = -5% to +5% | “Slight” = +/- 5% to +/-12% | “Significant" = > +/-12%.
